Ingredients
- 2 chopped onions
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp fruit chutney
- 2 tbsp sweet red wine
- sea salt to taste
- freshly ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Fry the onions in the olive oil until soft. Do not let it brown.
- Add the garlic, tomato ketchup, Worcester sauce, chutney, and wine
- Simmer slowly for about 5 minutes
- Add seasoning to taste.
- Serve on grilled or fried steak or liver
Notes
Another serving option is to add the cooked meat to the sauce thinned with a bit of water, cook for a couple of minutes on each side, and serve in the sauce.
