Traditional Pickled Curried Fish

Delicious Traditional Pickled Curried fish can be eaten hot or cold.

Ingredients

1 kg Fish of your choice (filleted)

2 large Onions

½ cup vinegar

Salt and Pepper

1 tablespoon flour

1 tablespoon good quality curry powder

1 tablespoon sugar

2 cups water

Sultanas (optional)

Bay leaves

Black Pepper Corns.

Instructions

Fry battered fish in usual way.

    Fry onions in oil until glassy but not brown.

      Add the curry power, sugar vinegar, water, salt, pepper and sultanas.

        Cook for approximately 5 minutes on medium heat.

          Thicken with flour and add bay leaves and peppercorns.

            Pour over fish.

              Notes

              Can be served hot or cold
